Shell size to 17 mm; shell elongate-trigonal, posterior end pointed and turned to the right. Valves convex for a tellinid, thicker than most species in the family. Pallial sinus closely approaching the anterior adductor muscle scar. Adductor muscle scars well impressed. Color generally white, sometimes with yellowish tinges.
