Sunrise Tellin

Shell size to 65 mm; shell elongate, compressed, strong. Shell surface glistening, oily-smooth. Umbo situated centrally on valve, usually pinkish. Color white with rays of yellow, orange, and red. Umbo of stronger colors. Rarer and displaying fainter colors in study area. This species has not been found as often locally on Sanibel/Captiva recently as it did around the mid-20th Century.
