Scorched Mussel

Shell size to 25 mm; shell mussel-shaped, trigonal, elongate. Sculpture of hundred or more fine ribs which form minute denticles on inner edge of valves. Color yellowish-brown to dark-brown, inner surface metallic-purple mottled with white.
