Pointed Venus

Shell size to 24 mm; shell wedge-shaped, with tapering posterior end. Surface glossy. Sculpture of low, rounded concentric riblets and very weak radial lines. Color grayish, greenish to brownish. Anomalocardia auberiana (d'Orbigny, 1853) is a synonym.
