Free Family Programs in July

Saturday, July 13, 9am:

Join Marine Biology Education Intern Alexis Tardif on Saturday, July 13 for a special family program about microplastics and their impact on mollusks. Program will begin at 9am with a small beach cleanup at Lighthouse Beach (buckets and gloves provided), followed by a presentation, family craft activity, and light refreshments at the Museum. 

 

This free, small group program is ideal for children ages 5-10 with their guardians.

 

Advance registration is required. Parking fees at Lighthouse Beach and Museum admission after the program are not included.

Saturday, July 20, 1pm: 

​

Join Marine Biology Education Intern AJ Townsend on Saturday, July 20 for an exciting presentation and activity about Cephalopods! Starting at 1pm, guests will have the opportunity to learn about marine biology and ecology through the superheroes of the sea: cephalopods. Participants will also be able to make their own octopus to take home.

 

This free, small group program is perfect for kids 8-12 with their guardians.

 

Advance registration is required. Museum admission after the program is not included.
