Meet the Artist/Author – Angelika GeerlofWritten by: John Suau
Publication Date: December 3, 2012
Next Friday, December 14, 2012 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum welcomes Angelika Geerlof, artist, author, poet and photographer who will share how her contemplative walks on the island’s beaches and in the wildlife refuge have inspired her new book, Sanibel Moodscapes.
Angelika holds a Bachelors’ degrees in art, art history and art education. She first came to Sanibel in 2004 and since her first visit has been inspired to create one-of-a-kind visual impressions of the natural surroundings and has developed postcards, calendars, and this new coffee table book which features an outstanding visual array of landscapes and natural portraitures of Sanibel for its admirers of all ages.
Book sales and signing will be available after the presentation. The Museum is happy to include Ms. Geerlof in the monthly “Friday Lunch Hour at the Museum” series. For registration of more information, please visit the Museum website at shellmuseum.org.
